You might encounter an issue in which Text input controls do not correctly filter report objects. For example, you might encounter this issue when you complete steps similar to the following:

1. Create a SAS Visual Analytics report that contains a Text input control that filters a list table.
2. Select the Initially select first item option on the Options tab of the Text input control. The first value is automatically picked up in the Text input control, and the list table is correctly filtered based on this value.

3. Save and close the report. When you open it again, you might encounter the following problem: The first item is still selected in the Text control, but the list table is not filtered based on this value.

To work around this problem, do one of the following:

• Clear the Initially select first item option on the Options tab of the Text input control. Then select the first available value in the data item and save the report.
• Alternately, use a control other than the Text input (for example, a drop-down list or a button bar) and select the Initially select first item option for it.
