If you encounter slow scrolling behavior within the SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3.x application when using Chrome as the client browser, there are several possible solutions and workarounds that you can enable to prevent the behavior. 

As a general first step for resolving unexpected behaviors within Chrome, you can do the following:

1. Clear the browser cache. 
2. Temporarily disable all web browser extensions by executing the browser in Incognito mode.

It is possible that one or more extensions that are installed on the client browser are caching content, consuming resources, and/or performing tasks in the background that conflict with the browser's normal interaction with the application. In this case, disabling the active extensions allows the interaction between the browser and the application to produce the expected behavior. 

If you have enabled multiple extensions and would like to identify the problematic extension, you can remove all extensions. Then, add them back one at a time to identify which extension (or combination thereof) is causing the unexpected behavior. In this case, you then need to disable only one or a subset of the extensions rather than all of them. 

In addition, there is a Chrome browser flag setting, Smooth Scrolling, that impacts the mouse scrolling feature. Instructions for checking and setting the Smooth Scrolling flag are as follows:

1. Type chrome://flags in the Chrome address bar.
2. Scroll down to find the Smooth Scrolling setting.
3. Change the setting from Default to Disabled.
4. Restart Chrome.
