Problem Note 68573: SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum might leave idle sessions connected to the Greenplum database
After a SAS job that uses SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum completes and disconnects, some idle connections might be left connected to the database. These connections remain until you manually terminate them on the Greenplum server.

Post-Hot-Fix Installation Instructions
Complete these steps to address the issue:
- Apply the hot fix to update the Progress DataDirect Driver.
- Set the following option in the ODBC DSN or use the CONOPTS= libname option to mitigate this issue:
FailoverMode=2
Setting this option for the driver provides failover protection for new and lost connections. In addition, it preserves the work that was performed by the last SELECT statement that you executed.
