In SAS Visual Text Analytics, a category rule might fail to use multiple-word terms within a Boolean rule for matching if the rule is split to multiple lines. All multiple-word terms that appear after the first line are NOT used for matching; however, single-word terms are matched.
Consider the following example where the OR rule (in the image below) is split to two lines. If you test this rule with the sample text that is shown in the image, all terms in the first line are used for matching. The multiple-word terms in the second line (two words and three words) of the test string fail to be matched. However, the single word in that line, word4, is matched.
To work around this problem, delete the line break at the end of each line within the same Boolean rule.
