You can create a SAS Visual Data Builder query that includes other existing queries as input tables. When you promote this type of query to a different environment, you might not be able to open it. Instead, you see an error that is similar to the following:
This error occurs when the ID for the query cannot be found in the VDBServices database. In this unusual case, there are no errors when you export or import the query, and the dependent queries open successfully. In addition, there are typically six or more levels of subqueries in the main query.
Note: If your query does not include dependent queries, then see SAS Note 65621, "SAS® Visual Data Builder 7.5 returns 'No instance matching 'id' found' when opening queries imported from a previous release," for information about another possible cause.
The problem described in this SAS Note can occur when the query loses its association to one or more of its dependent queries. Sometimes re-creating the export package resolves the issue. When re-creating the package, ensure that you select the Include dependent objects when retrieving initial collection of objects option.
If re-creating the export package does not resolve this issue, then there is no workaround.
