Problem Note 67723: Decimal places for values are truncated to three digits in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, values are truncated to three decimal places. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. Apply a numeric format (for example, F15.9) to a data item.

  2. Use this data item in a Select node in a diagram and enter a value (for example, >1.123456789, as shown below):

    A value with a format is added

  3. Press Enter or click Update. Then, the value's digits are truncated to three decimal places, as shown below:

    The decimal places for the value are truncated to three digits

The actual query does use the correct format, as shown in this code example:

proc sql;
   create table WORK.MA40 as
   select
         ( count(*) )  AS DII_1 LABEL=''
           from
         (
          select distinct
                 table0.IndivID AS INDIVID LABEL='Individual ID'
                 from
                 DataMart.INDIVIDUAL table0 Inner join DataMart.INDIVIDUAL_DEMOGRAPHIC table1 on table1.IndivID=table0.IndivID
                 where
                 table1.Income > 1.123456789
         ) table2;
quit;

The truncation of the decimal places happens only in the user interface, and it does not have any impact on the counts.
