Problem Note 67706: A SAS® DS2 function is called instead of a custom DS2 function if you name the custom function the same as the SAS DS2 function

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Intelligent Decisioning, you can write your own custom DS2 functions to perform actions that are not available with the standard functions provided by SAS DS2 functions. You need to ensure that you do not name your custom DS2 function with the same name as a SAS DS2 function name.

If you do name a custom function the same as a SAS DS2 function and you try to call your custom function, the software calls the SAS DS2 function instead. However, currently, the software does not have a process in place to check for the duplication of names. Therefore, if you duplicate the name, you do not receive an error, warning, or note message to indicate that a problem occurred.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.

This hot fix adds a verification process to the software to help prevent the duplication of function names.
