Problem Note 67592: Exporting data from SAS® Visual Analytics to Microsoft Excel might fail for certain locales

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Exporting data from SAS Visual Analytics to Microsoft Excel might not work correctly with certain browser locales, including but not limited to zh_CN and fr_FR. In this scenario, it appears as if nothing has happened in the web browser. If you examine the browser's console log, you might find an HTTP 500 failure similar to the following:

GET
http://my.vaserver.com:7980/SASVisualAnalyticsTransport/onebi/services/
results/59845b91-85d8-4b65-be55-3b1c9247cba8_76c7ea18-5a68-417f-ade9-f87469e1beb
7/exportFiles/%E6%9D%A1%E5%BD%A2%E5%9B%BE%20-%20data%201.xlsx 500

In the SASVisualAnalyticsTransport7.5.log file, you might also see an error similar to the following:

 BIDATA ERROR [tomcat-http--21] 2020-07-27 08:56:59,294
[ST-8982-HghuEDQMOPkcKxiASPVp-cas: username]
com.sas.bidata.error.DataErrorHandler - invalidInternalState
java.nio.file.InvalidPathException: Malformed input or input contains unmappable
characters: sasExportD5C0Resultats238838409779638130.xml

One workaround is to export to CSV instead of to Excel.
