Problem Note 67528: Rows of data might be dropped from the resulting table after a data set is loaded into SAS® Cloud Analytic Services (CAS)

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you use the CASUTIL procedure to load a SAS data set into a CAS table, the resulting table could have fewer rows.

The problem occurs when the SAS data set has been created using the COMPRESS=YES and REUSE=YES data set options and the table is being loaded from a caslib.

To circumvent the problem, do not create the data set by using the COMPRESS= and REUSE= options. Or you can load the data set into a CAS table from a SAS library.

For example, use the following syntax to assign a SAS library reference to the directory path for the caslib. Replace libref with the name of your SAS library reference in the statement below:

libname libref "directory-path";

Then use the following syntax to load the data, substituting your library reference for libref, your data set name for data-set-name, your CAS table name for CAS-table-name, and your destination caslib for caslib:

proc casutil;
   load data=libref.data-set-name casout="CAS-table-name" outcaslib='caslib';
quit;
