Problem Note 67442: SAS® Remote Services cannot start in a Microsoft Windows environment and you see the message "The process terminated unexpectedly"

When you are trying to start SAS Remote Services for Windows, a pop-up message informs you that "The process terminated unexpectedly."

If you try to start SAS Remote Services manually in a command prompt, you see an error message that is similar to the following:
