Problem Note 67359: You try to cancel a program that is accessing a database, but unexpected behavior occurs in SAS® Studio 5.2 and the compute session resets
In the SAS Studio 5.2 (Enterprise) interface, an attempt to cancel a program that is connecting to a database might cause the user interface to reset the compute server session.
After the cancel action finishes, you see any data sets that were previously created in the Work library and all previously active library names in the Libraries pane. However, if you try to open a data set in the Work library, an error message states that the data set does not exist. The error message is similar to the following:
ERROR: File libref.data-set.DATA does not exist.
If you refresh the libraries, the tables in the Work library are removed, and any libraries that were not assigned via an autoexec file no longer show in the Libraries pane.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
After you apply the hot fix, the following message is displayed when SAS Studio is in the state described above:
The compute session has timed out waiting to cancel and is in a "failed" state. Click OK to reset the session.
