Problem Note 67249: Using a long password in the LIBNAME statement for Amazon Redshift fails in SAS® Customer Intelligence
In SAS Customer Intelligence, using a LIBNAME statement that connects to Amazon Redshift fails when the LIBNAME statement exceeds 200 characters. For example, the default length is 200 for the magentmp.sas macro. If the length exceeds 200, the macro is truncated.
If you view the stored-process log, you see that truncation, as shown in this example:
2020-08-31T21:11:20,075 INFO [sasdemo] 236:b1634380 - MPRINT(MACRTLIB): LIBNAME CDM SASIORST DATABASE=sasmadb SERVER="very-long-qualified-host-name" SCHEMA=cdm USER=sasdemo
2020-08-31T21:11:20,075 INFO [sasdemo] 236:b1634380 - PASSWORD="{SAS002}1234567890123456789012345678901234567890" CONNECTION=TEST27;
Later in the log, you can see that the closing quotation mark of the password is removed, as shown below. This behavior causes warnings, errors, or both later in the processing:
2020-08-31T21:11:20,076 INFO [sasdemo] 236:b1634380 - MPRINT(MAGENTMP): MATCHID=prxparse('s/ACCESS.?=.?READONLY//i');

2020-08-31T21:11:20,076 INFO [sasdemo] 236:b1634380 - MPRINT(MAGENTMP): run;
To work around this problem, use a shorter password or use a shorter fully qualified host name.
