Problem Note 67212: The dialog box for data-item selection does not retain the existing selection in a "Split" node in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, the dialog box for data-item selection does not retain the existing selection in a Split node. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. Add a Split node to a diagram. For the Split method field, select Data item.
  2. Click the pencil icon to choose a data item (for example, Gender). After you make a selection, click OK. Then, enter some values, and click OK again.

    Split_1

  3. Navigate back dialog box for data-item selection and click the pencil again to edit the values for your selection. This action opens the Select Values dialog box. Now, when you click the pencil icon to edit the data item, the current data item is not selected automatically for you. Instead, all available data items are shown:

    Split_2

In earlier releases of SAS Customer Intelligence, only this one data item is shown. This behavior can cause a problem if you have more than one data item with the same name but those data items are in a different location.
