Problem Note 67137: SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager campaigns that contain a data process fail to validate after you change table metadata
In SAS Real-Time Decision Manager, a campaign that contains a data process fails to validate after you make change to the metadata for the table that the data process uses. This issue is not visible in the campaign until the data-process definition is refreshed and used in the campaign.
This problem occurs when you perform steps that are similar to the following:
- Update the metadata for the table that the data process uses by updating the library in the Data Library Manager.
- Open the Data Process Definition dialog box and reselect the table. When you do this, you receive a warning indicating that this step will change the variables. Click OK.
- Navigate to the Criteria Variables tab and make sure that your columns are selected.
- Navigate to the Retrieve Variables tab. On this tab, you will see that all the previously selected variables are removed.
Note: If you do not retrieve a grid as output, this process still maintains the retrieve variables.
- Re-add the variables on the Retrieve Variables tab. Then, save and close the Data Process Definition dialog box.
- Reselect the data process on the Process node of the decision campaign.
- Click the Validate icon to validate the data process.
To work around this problem:
- On the Retrieve Variables tab, clear the Retrieve as a data grid check box.
- Select the Retrieve as a data grid check box again.
