Problem Note 67130: DATETIME data items with the DTDATE9 format might generate problems in direct filters in SAS® Visual Analytics

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Visual Analytics, you might see the value 1Jan1960 when editing an existing filter.

For example, you encounter this issue when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. Add an advanced filter to a list table or to any other report object that is based on a DATETIME data item.
  2. Add a date similar to the following to your advanced filter: DATETIME > 2 December 2010

advanced filter contains datetime

The filter works fine.

  1. If you edit the advanced filter to modify it, the filter automatically changes from DATETIME > 2 December 2010 to DATETIME > 1 January 1960.

datetime value changes

This problem mainly occurs when you apply the DTDATE9 format to the DATETIME data item.

To work around this issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Delete the direct filter.
  2. Change the DATETIME data item format from DTDATE9 to DTDATE11 or DATETIME0.
  3. Re-create the filter.
