Problem Note 67903: Inserting rows into a Netezza table results in the message "ERROR: You can only use BULKLOAD=YES with methods that INSERT/UPDATE data..."

Inserting rows into a Netezza table from a SAS® table might result in an error when the DBIDIRECTEXEC system option is in effect.
Here is an example of what appears in the SAS log (along with a syntax example of the code that causes this issue):
1 LIBNAME Netezza-library NETEZZA connection-options ;
NOTE: Libref Netezza-library was successfully assigned as follows:
Engine: NETEZZA
Physical Name: server-name
2 DATA work.sample ;
3 value = 1 ;
4 RUN ;
5 PROC SQL ;
6 INSERT INTO Netezza-library.Netezza-table(BULKLOAD=YES)
7 SELECT * FROM work.sample
8 ;
ERROR: You can only use BULKLOAD=YES with methods that INSERT/UPDATE data. Use BULKUNLOAD=YES to read data.
NOTE: PROC SQL set option NOEXEC and will continue to check the syntax of statements.
9 QUIT;

The only workaround is to use the NODBIDIRECTEXEC system option.
