A segmentation violation can occur when the SQL query contains a HAVING clause with a function.
Here is an example:
proc sql;
select col1 from tlib.tabName
where col2 = 123
group by col1
having max(col3);
quit;
select col1 from tlib.tabName
where col2 = 123
group by col1
having max(col3);
quit;
