Problem Note 67611: You see a "userid could not execute statement" error message in SAS® Visual Investigator
After you try to lock a document for editing, you might encounter the following error in the svi-datahub log.
ERROR 13 c.s.f.d.c.DataHubExceptionHandle: userid could not execute statement; SQL [n/a]; nested exception is org.hibernate.exception.DataException: could not execute statement
The error occurs if your user ID is greater than 30 characters in length.
For Hot Fix 3 and above for SAS® Visual Investigator 10.7, the user ID length can be equal to or fewer than 100 characters. It is planned that the server can support an LDAP length of 255 characters eventually, but at the present time, the SAS Visual Investigator application supports a maximum of 100 characters for a user ID.
For SAS Visual Investigator releases prior to 10.7, Hot Fix 3, you are limited to 30 characters for user ID length.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
