Problem Note 67450: The SASStudioWebAppServer service fails to start with "Windows could not start the SASStudioWebAppServer service...Error 1067..." after an update

After you update maintenance releases of SAS® 9.4—such as SAS® 9.4M4 (TS1M4) to SAS® 9.4M6 TS1M6)—existing SAS® Studio Basic installations might not function correctly. The issue occurs because the SASStudioWebAppServer service fails to start, which generates the following error:
Windows could not start the SASStudioWebAppServer service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

Resolution:
1. Rename \SAS\studioconfig to \SAS\old_studioconfig.
2. Stop the existing SASStudioSpawner service within Microsoft Windows Services.
3. In a Windows cmd window, run the following commands, which delete the existing SAS Studio services. Note that if "tcruntime-c-SAS-studioconfig-appserver-studio" does not work use "SASStudioWebAppServer".
sc delete "SASStudioSpawner"
sc delete "tcruntime-c-SAS-studioconfig-appserver-studio"
sc delete "tcruntime-c-SAS-studioconfig-appserver-studio"
4. Follow the steps in Deployment Scenario with a Non-Planning Order to reinstall and configure SAS Studio Basic.
