Problem Note 67112: Scenario runs could take a long time to run when the "Discard generated risk cube" execution option is selected in SAS® Model Implementation Platform
When you submit a scenario cube from SAS Model Implementation Platform, there is an option Discard generated risk cube in Step 5, Execution Options. When this option is selected, SAS Model Implementation Platform writes a risk cube to disk, then later discards (deletes) the risk cube. This action results in longer processing times when the risk cube is not required.
A hot fix adds new radio buttons below the Discard generated risk cube check box. The radio buttons can be selected after you click Discard generated risk cube. The first radio-button option here is selected by default:
- Temporarily write to disk for computed variable calculations
- Never write to disk (computed variable values might be missing)
Note: You decide to create the risk cube, based on whether you use computed methods with internal functions or a QueryValue object that refers to the risk cube. If there are no computed methods in the run or if the computed methods used in the run do not use any functions that need the risk cube, then you should use the check box accordingly so that you do not create the cube.
