You might experience slow response times from SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager when accessing VARCHAR2 bind variables from Oracle tables via SAS® Federation Server.
When querying VARCHAR2 bind variables from Oracle tables with the SAS Federation Server, this column is cast as NVARCHAR2 variables and existing table indexes cannot be used. This behavior can cause performance issues.
There is no workaround from SAS, but an Oracle database administrator can create a function-based index.
