Problem Note 66584: SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.1 - An SQL exception occurs in the SAS® session editor or File Viewer following a refresh of distinct values
In SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.1, an SQL exception can occur when you complete steps similar to the following:
- Use either the SAS® session editor or the File Viewer to open a data set and click the Advanced Filter.
- Select the WHERE clause in the left tree, and then click Get Values on the Values tab.
- Use a character string variable that contains quotation marks for the filter criteria.
- Deselect Quote String as part of the filter content.
- Click Refresh distinct values.
Beginning with SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.2.2, SQL errors are not surfaced to be consistent with SAS® Studio.
If no values are returned (the user interface returns "No value found"), it is expected that you will then select the Quote String option.
You can also use the Validate button to test/check the validity of an expression.
