In SAS Size Optimization, you cannot successfully paste a number that is copied from Microsoft Excel into the profile distribution field. If you try to paste a number, the number seems to be accepted. However, when you tab out of the cell, it reverts to the original value. 

To work around this issue:

1. First, copy and paste the numbers into another editor (for example, Microsoft Word or Microsoft TextPad).
2. Then, paste the numbers from the other editor into the profile distribution field.

After you apply the hot fix, you can paste a number directly from Excel into a profile distribution field.
