Problem Note 66508: The Libraries pane in SAS® Studio does not display any library contents when that library contains data sets that use double-byte characters
Although your SAS session encoding is set to a double-byte encoding (for example, EUC-KR, MS-950, or SHIFT-JIS), if a table contains values from a double-byte character set (DBCS), the Libraries pane does not display the contents of the library that contains that table.
However, if a library exclusively contains data sets with ASCII (single-byte) characters only, the Libraries pane displays the contents of that library with no issues.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.
After the hot fix is applied, the Libraries pane displays all of the entries in the library. However, attempts to open one of the tables can generate the following dialog box if you attempt to open a table and the table name or columns contain DBCS characters:
No data was returned for table table-name
The workaround is to open the table with a procedure or the DATA step via the code editor.

fixed.
In SAS® Studio 5.2 Enterprise, after tables are created with double-byte character names, no tables in that library are displayed.
