Problem Note 66200: Simultaneous lookup activation in SAS® Intelligent Decisioning causes SAS® Cloud Analytic Services (CAS) to drop formats
SAS Intelligent Decisioning enables you to import lookup tables and reference them from rules. Lookup tables are tables that contain key-value pairs.
When a lookup is activated in CAS:
- A session USERFORMATS3 format library is created first.
- Next, a CAS format is added for the lookup to the session USERFORMATS3 library.
- Then, the entire USERFORMATS3 library is promoted back to the global scope.
If two sessions perform lookup activation about the same time, it is possible for each session to clone a session USERFORMATS3 format library from the same global USERFORMATS3 library. Each session USERFORMATS3 library will not have the format added by the other session that occurs at about the same time. In the end, the format that is added by the session that promoted first is not added to the global USERFORMATS3 library. That format is lost because only the format from the latest session is kept.
