OpenStreetMap servers that are hosted by SAS for SAS Visual Analytics geo map backgrounds will be updated in February 2021.  

This change does not require any SAS Visual Analytics administrative updates or any updates to SAS Visual Analytics reports. After the update, all SAS Visual Analytics geo maps using OpenStreetMap backgrounds that are hosted by SAS automatically display the updated map version.

SAS has updated the OpenStreetMap style to be more consistent with modern reporting. Road styles were updated to better distinguish roads from rivers and waterways; highway shields were modified for clarity; and the ocean color was modified to allow more contrast with the SAS Visual Analytics default palette.

The images below show the same view of the 2020 and 2021 OpenStreetMap server that is hosted by SAS.

Note: SAS recommends that you clear each web browser's cached images to ensure that the latest map tile images are used.
