Problem Note 66478: The error "HTTP Status 400 - Not Found" occurs when you try to launch SAS® Federation Server Manager
After you upgrade SAS Federation Server Manager 4.1 to release 4.3, the following error is generated when you try to launch the web application:
HTTP Status 400 - Not Found
When this problem occurs, the following error is also displayed in the corresponding SAS Federation Server Manager log:
ERROR [unknown] org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoader - Context initialization failed
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'jobStatusDS': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name [jdbc/jobStatusData] is not bound in this Context. Unable to find [jdbc].
This problem occurs because the SAS Federation Server Manager database and Java database connectivity (JDBC) data sources are not created during the upgrade.
To work around this problem:
- On the middle-tier machine, launch SAS® Deployment Manager and follow these steps:
- Select the Remove Existing Configuration task.
- Select SAS Federation Server Manager Mid-Tier and follow all the prompts to complete the deployment-manager task.
- On the middle-tier machine, launch SAS® Deployment Wizard and follow these steps:
- Select Install SAS Software.
- On the Select Deployment Type page, select Perform a planned deployment ► Configure SAS Software.
- Specify the plan. Then, on the Select the Products to Configure page, follow these steps:
- Select SAS Federation Server Manager Midtier. (Depending on your environment and the SAS® products that you have configured, you might need to include dependent products).
- Follow all of the prompts to complete the configuration.
Performing the steps above should resolve the issue.
A hot fix is planned for this issue.
