Problem Note 66380: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 projects are forward and backward compatible without migration

The current situation is that SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1 projects are migrated when you open them using SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2. Also, you cannot open SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 projects using SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1.

The hot fix enables forward and backward compatibility with SAS Enterprise Guide projects. For example, after you install the hot fix to both SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1 and 8.2, you can open SAS Enterprise Guide 8.1 and 8.2 projects using either 8.x release without the project being migrated.
