Under UNIX, the process of updating a lookup table in SAS Business Rules Manager does not work properly. The problem occurs when you perform these steps:
When you open the table, it looks correct. However, the value contains an invalid character (\r) that does not appear on the display. You see the issue only when you run a rule flow test that uses this lookup table.
The corresponding SAS log for the test does not contain any error. However, if the Value field is a numeric field, the SAS log contains a note similar to the following note:
If the Value field is a character field, the SAS log does not contain anything special.
To work around this issue, you need to use the SAS macro %BRM_IMPORT_LOOKUP to import the CSV file.
