Problem Note 65688: Data items are sorted in an unexpected order in Microsoft Excel when exporting crosstab data from SAS® Report Viewer
Data items are sorted in an unexpected order in Microsoft Excel when exporting crosstab data from SAS Report Viewer. This problem can occur when your crosstab contains a calculated item and an aggregated measure in the Measures role, as shown in the following display:
The following display shows the crosstab. The order of the data items is as follows: Agg data item, Weight, Frequency, and Calculated item.
When you export data from the crosstab in SAS® Visual Analytics, the order of the data items reflects the order of the report object.
When you export data from the crosstab in SAS Report Viewer, the order of the data items does not reflect the order of the report object. As shown in the following display, the aggregated measure is the last column in the table.
This problem occurs for both new and promoted reports.
This issue does not occur beginning with release 8.4, which integrated SAS Report Viewer features into the SAS Visual Analytics user interface.
