Problem Note 65636: A log file is not created after you submit a program using the Background Submit feature in SAS® Studio
When you submit a program through the Background Submit feature in SAS Studio, and the file contains errors, a log file is not created as expected.
In order to see the error messages, navigate from a system prompt to the /opt/sas/viya/config/var/log/compsrv/default folder. Then open the ComputeServer_yyyy-mm-dd_viya_numeral.pgm.log file.

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If there are errors in a SAS program and it is submitted using the Background Submit feature, the log file is not created.
