Problem Note 65334: Some fonts appear differently after promoting reports from SAS® Visual Analytics 7.4 and earlier to SAS® Visual Analytics on SAS® Viya®

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

After promoting reports from SAS Visual Analytics 7.4 and earlier to SAS Visual Analytics on SAS Viya, the fonts in the reports might appear different or show a different size in the font editor. During the promotion process, font sizes are automatically scaled to help maintain the look of the reports. For example, a font that is size 14 in the original report might show as size 10 in the editor after promotion. Even though the size has changed, the font in the promoted report should appear about the same visually.

In some cases, however, the scaling is not done properly. This issue typically occurs for column and row headings, display rules, and totals in list tables and crosstabs.

The following display shows an example of a crosstab in SAS Visual Analytics 7.4 where the font size is 16.

The following display shows the same table after promotion to SAS Visual Analytics 8.5. As you can see, the font size for most of the crosstab is scaled and looks normal, but the totals and the display rules (in red) appear larger than the rest.
