Problem Note 65262: Merge joins in PROC FEDSQL return an incorrect number of rows

Left, right, and full outer merge joins in a FEDSQL procedure can return inconsistent results when the following conditions are both true:
- The ON clause contains an inequality expression.
- The ON clause is combined with an equality expression for an AND condition.
The following syntax can encounter this issue:
proc fedsql _method;
select count(*)
from table-name as a _merge_ left join bvm as b
on a.ArticleId = b.ArticleId and a.StoreId = b.StoreId
and a.Date between b.DateFrom and b.DateTo;
quit;
select count(*)
from table-name as a _merge_ left join bvm as b
on a.ArticleId = b.ArticleId and a.StoreId = b.StoreId
and a.Date between b.DateFrom and b.DateTo;
quit;
