This hot fix allows applications to connect to a default CAS instance by setting the CASHOST and CASPORT options in the autoexec.sas file for the compute server.

Many applications such as SAS^® Studio and SAS^® Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning look up and set their own CASHOST name. This hot fix does not change their behavior, because their changes are still honored as overrides for their session or environment.
