Problem Note 65241: The Java virtual machine (JVM) for the SASServer7 web application consumes excessive memory

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager, you might notice that the SASServer7 JVM consumes excessive, but stable, memory. This memory consumption is due to over-allocation of memory for the JDBC connections from SAS® Decision Services to the SAS® Federation Server. The large memory allocation occurs because of an incorrect calculation used to determine the size of the buffer that is used to pack data sent to the SAS Federation Server.

There is no workaround for this issue. You can reduce memory consumption, however, by reducing the number of connections that are configured for your SAS Real-Time Decision Manager $SAS_Activity_Resource object. Memory will stabilize after all statements are prepared on each connection.
