When you link reports that include report-level prompts, the prompts in the target report might not be updated correctly. Specifically, the target report might retain a previous selection. Depending on your prompts, the objects in the target report might contain incorrect results, or the objects might display the following warning:

In the following display, both Alfred and F are selected as prompt values in the target report. The value Alfred had been cleared in the source report, but the target report incorrectly retained that value. As a result, the list table in the report returns no values because the two selections are in conflict.

 

 

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note for a link to instructions about accessing and applying the software update.

After the hot fix is applied, you must perform the following additional steps: 

1. Log on to SAS^® Environment Manager as an administrator. 
2. Select Configuration ► All Services  ► SAS Visual Analytics.
3. In the list of configuration instances, open sas.visualanalytics for editing. 
4. Click Add property. 
5. Enter clearForwardLinkValues and then enter true as the value. 
6. Click Save.
