Problem Note 65104: Labels might be incorrect when a custom format is created and updated in the same session and used in a view definition
If a view definition has a user-defined or custom format that is permanently assigned to a variable, and the format is updated in the same session in a separate submission, the new formatted values might not be seen in the Data Grid in SAS® Enterprise Guide®, in the Table Viewer in SAS® Studio, or on the Output Data tab in both applications. The formatted values can appear unchanged from the original format or appear as numeric zeros within the column. The problem occurs intermittently. This problem does not occur in SAS® Foundation.
The following screenshot shows an example of the problem.

In the screenshot above, the highlighted section of code is submitted to update the “test” format so that it uses the label no. On the Output Data tab, the variable is incorrectly displayed with the former label of yes.
A hot fix is planned for this issue.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If you assign a permanent format to a variable in a view definition and update the custom format in the same session in which it is created, the data displayed in the view might not reflect the changes in SAS® Enterprise Guide® and SAS® Studio.
