The SAS Visual Analytics service has a configuration property named Background Queries. This property controls how many connections are made from the connection pool in order to retrieve results from report objects that are not currently visible on the page.

If this property is set to 0, you might not be able to print reports. This problem can occur if your report includes a prompt container, and you print without first opening the container and populating the prompts inside. You see the following message but the downloaded PDF never appears.

To complete the download, open the prompt container.

If the Background Queries property for the SAS Visual Analytics service is set to 0, then SAS Visual Analytics might fail to download the PDF for reports that include prompt containers. This problem occurs if you print before you open the prompt container.
