Problem Note 65987: SAS® Model Manager does not allow users who are not administrators to delete a model's variables
In SAS Model Manager, a failure occurs when you log on as a user who is not an administrator and you perform these steps:
- Open a model.
- Click the Variable tab.
- Select at least one variable and click on the three dots at the top right corner to invoke the Delete menu.
- Then, click the Save icon.
Once you complete these steps, a Delete Variables dialog box opens with the following error messages, which indicate that the selected variables cannot be deleted.

You can work around this problem in either of the following ways:
- Log onto SAS Model Manager as a SAS Administrator and then delete the model's variables.
- Create a new authorization (rule similar to the following rule) created by using SAS® Environment Manager:
