Problem Note 65554: The ranking group "All Other" is incorrectly sorted in crosstabs in SAS® Visual Analytics Viewer
The ranking group All Other might be incorrectly sorted in crosstabs in SAS Visual Analytics Viewer. The group is correctly sorted in SAS® Visual Analytics Designer, and in list tables in both applications.
For example, suppose that your report contains a list table, a crosstab, and a list control:
- The list table contains Make and Invoice, and it has these ranking criteria for Make: Top Count, 10, By Invoice, All Other option is selected.
- The crosstab contains Make and MPG (City), and it has these ranking criteria for Make: Top Count, 10, By MPG, All Other option is selected.
- The list control filters the category Origin for both the list table and the crosstab.
You sort the list table by Invoice in ascending order, and you sort the crosstab by MPG (City) in ascending order. In SAS Visual Analytics Designer, the All Other value is correctly located at the bottom of each table, as shown in the following display:
When you view this same report in SAS Visual Analytics Viewer, the All Other value is placed correctly at the bottom of the list table. However, in the crosstab, the value incorrectly appears after Nissan, as shown in the following display:

Note: This SAS Note specifically describes the behavior in SAS Visual Analytics Viewer 7.5. In release 7.4, this problem occurs for both list tables and crosstabs.
