Installation Note 65483: Post-installation instructions for SAS® Environment Manager Enablement Kit Hot Fix D6U001
Hot fix D6U001 requires manual post-installation instructions. D6U001 is a "container" hot fix that contains the following "member" hot fixes which will update the software components as needed:
- D6T001 updates SAS Environment Manager Enablement Kit Plug-in 2.4
- C1N002 updates SAS Environment Manager Enablement Kit Server 2.4
- D6S001 updates SAS Environment Manager Log File Collector 2.4
This container hot fix requires that you complete manual steps after you apply the hot fix to each machine that contains the products listed above. After applying the hot fix using the SAS® Deployment Manager, complete the hot-fix installation by following the instructions below for your operating environment.
Note: If you applied Hot Fix D6U001 prior to February 1, 2020, you must follow these instructions if you did not manually copy the files from SASHome into the SAS configuration directory.
UNIX Operating Environments:
- Download and extract the appropriate D6U001 install script for your system from the SAS Environment Manager Enablement Kit 2.3 Hot Fix Downloads page. The scripts are used to copy the updated SAS hot fix files from the SASHome directory into the SAS configuration directory.
- Stop the SAS Environment Manager Server on the middle-tier hosts and the SAS Environment Manager Agent on each host in the deployment.
- From the directory where you extracted the scripts, run the following command as the SAS install user:
$ config_hotfix_f0evm23.sh [--doit] --home <yourSASHomeDir> --lev <yourConfigLevNDir>
Here is a description of the options in the above command:
--doit: The --doit option tells the system to execute the copy commands. If you do not specify the --doit option, the script shows which files it will copy without executing the actual copy commands.
--home: (required) The --home option specifies the full path of your SASHome directory. Here is an example: -home /opt/sas/SASHome
--levn: (required) The --levn option specifies the full path of your Config/Lev<n> directory. Here is an example: -levn /opt/sas/Config/Lev1
-h | --h | --help: This option prints this usage information.
- After the script completes without errors, start the SAS Environment Manager Server only.
- After the SAS Environment Manager Server has started, remove each “<host> SAS Deployment Agent 1.0” resource:
- Log on to SAS Environment Manager.
- Select Resources.
- Select Servers.
- Select the check box beside each “<host> SAS Deployment Agent 1.0” resource.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Start the SAS Environment Manager Agent on each host. This concludes the hot fix post-installation instructions.
Windows Operating Environments:
- Download and extract the appropriate D6U001 install script for your system from the SAS Environment Manager Enablement Kit 2.4 Hot Fix Downloads page. The scripts are used to copy the updated SAS hot fix files from the SASHome directory into the SAS configuration directory.
- Stop the SAS Environment Manager Server on the middle-tier hosts and the SAS Environment Manager Agent on each host.
- From the directory where you extracted the scripts, run the following command as an administrator in a command prompt with elevated privileges:
config_hotfix_f0evm23.bat [--doit] --home <yourSASHomeDir> --lev <yourConfigLevNDir>
