When you design a page, you might lose your control when you select the Fill available space option. 

For example, you encounter this issue when you perform the following steps:

1. Create a new page.
2. Place a 2-column layout on that page.
3. Add a group box to the left column and select the Fill available space option.
4. Add a child object or a related objects control to the right column. If you use a related object, make sure to configure the traversals.
5. Select the Fill available space option.

After you complete these steps, the control disappears in the designer.

In addition, when you close this template in the Page Designer, an error similar to the following might appear in the Developer tools console:
