Problem Note 65401: New or incomplete workflow variables on the Workflow tab are removed after you navigate between tabs

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS® Visual Investigator 10.6, workflow variables that you enter on the Workflow tab are removed in either of the following scenarios.

Scenario 1:

  1. Navigate to the Properties tab of a workflow.
  2. Add a new workflow variable of any type, such as String.
  3. Without clicking Save, you click the Properties tab (even though you are already on the Properties tab).

Scenario 2:

  1. Navigate to the Properties tab of a workflow.
  2. Add a new workflow variable of the type Reference Data
  3. Without specifying required values and without clicking Save, you click the Workflow tab and then click the Properties tab.

You might expect that nothing should change for the workflow after you click the Properties tab. Also, in the second scenario, after you click the Workflow tab, you would expect to receive a message that prompts you to complete the required workflow variable fields.

The workaround is to ensure that you click Save on the Workflow tab before you navigate between tabs.
