Problem Note 65398: The Logistic Regression task in SAS® Enterprise Guide® stops responding after assigning certain data to the dependent variable task role
If you import a file into SAS Enterprise Guide using tasks such as Import Data, Import SPSS, Import JMP, or Import Stata, then you might encounter a problem when you try to use the Logic Regression task. Specifically, SAS Enterprise Guide stops responding after you add a variable to the dependent variable task role.
As a workaround when importing an external file such Microsoft Excel, follow these steps:
- Open a new process flow in SAS Enterprise Guide. In the new process flow, right-click anywhere in the white space and select Add existing item.
- Navigate to the location of the Excel file on your PC, and select Open. This should add the Excel file as an icon in the process flow.
- Right-click the Excel file and select Import Data. This opens Import Data task so that you can import the file in order to create the data set.
- Now, when you use the Logistic Regression task, it will not stop responding.
