Scenario flows run slowly in SAS Visual Investigator when the alerted entity has relationships to other entities.
The Alerts service might run out of memory and return records more slowly than expected. Also, health checks do not complete in a timely manner. Other issues that you might encounter are the following:
- Retried scenario flows do not complete.
- High database usage occurs.
- Stale database connections increase.
In the svi-alerts log, you might see errors that are similar to the following:
2019-10-31T15:03:40.66-0500 [APP/PROC/WEB/2] ERR Resource exhaustion event: the JVM was unable to allocate memory from the heap.
