Problem Note 65173: Data is missing from the DICTIONARY.COLUMNS data set
If you supply an incorrect password to read from a password-protected table, the DICTIONARY.COLUMNS dictionary table does not contain the expected data.
For example, you encounter this issue if you run code similar to the following:
libname lib1 '.' ;
data lib1.s1135985t2(read=r);
x=1;
run;
proc sql; select * from lib1.s1135985t2(read=wr); quit;
%put SYSRC=&SYSRC SYSERR=&SYSERR SYSERRORTEXT=&SYSERRORTEXT;
%put SQLRC=&SQLRC SQLOBS=&SQLOBS SQLXOPENERRS=&SQLXOPENERRS;
proc sql dictdiag;
select memname, diagnostic
from dictionary.tables
where libname ='LIB1'
and memname = 'S1135985T2';
quit;
proc sql dictdiag;
select memname, diagnostic
from dictionary.columns
where libname ='LIB1'
and memname = 'S1135985T2';
A hot fix is planned to fix this issue.
