Problem Note 65110: The error message "Missing path or data source options on caslib object . . ." occurs in SASĀ® Environment Manager after you import a SASHDAT file
You try to import a SASHDAT file that is located on a Microsoft Windows system. You want to import the file into a format library by using SAS Environment Manager. After you attempt to import the file, these error messages appear:
Error creating CAS library
The action was not successful.
ERROR: Missing path or data source options on caslib object EVImportTempInputFormats.
You might also see the following error messages in the CAS log:
Missing path or data source options on caslib object %U.*s.
Missing path or data source options on caslib object EVImportTempInputFormats.
The workaround for this problem is to change each backslash (\) to a forward slash (/) in SAS Environment Manager when you are specifying the location of the file.
For example, if the SASHDAT file is located in C:\myfiles\abc.sashdat, you need to change the backslashes to forward slashes, as shown here:
C:/myfiles/abc/sashdat
