Problem Note 64974: Running a scoring test in SAS® Model Manager fails and a "... Parse encountered invalid character ..." error is displayed

In SAS Model Manager, running a scoring test might fail.  The corresponding test log contains an error:

NOTE: Running 'modelPublishing' action set with 0 workers.
ERROR: An error occurred during the preparation or execution of the model program.

The problem occurs when you import and test a Python model after installing SAS Model Manager Patch 2 using the following sequence of steps:

  1. Install SAS Model Manager Patch 2.
  2. Import a Python model into a SAS Model Manager project.
  3. Open the model.
  4. Click Publish ► Prepare for publishing.
  5. Open the containing project.
  6. Click Scoring Tab.
  7. Create a new test.
  8. Run the test
