The SAS Visual Analytics service has a configuration property named Background Queries. This property controls how many connections are made from the connection pool in order to retrieve results from report objects that are not currently visible on the page.

If this property is set to 0, then prompts within prompt containers might not render correctly. Specifically, instead of seeing the actual values for your prompts, you see generic values, as shown in the following display:
