SAS Visual Analytics Designer supports importing data only to a SAS LASR Analytic Server library. In release 7.4 and earlier, the Show SAS LASR Analytic Server libraries only option on the Import dialog box is selected by default and you cannot deselect it.

In release 7.5, the Show SAS LASR Analytic Server libraries only option is unexpectedly available to select, and you can navigate to other types of libraries such as a Base SAS^® library. In the following display, OrionStar Data is a Base SAS library.

However, if you select any library other than a SAS LASR Analytic Server library, then you see the following error when you click Import:

 

In order to import data to a library such as a Base SAS library, you must use SAS^® Visual Data Builder.

SAS Visual Analytics Designer supports importing data only to a SAS LASR Analytic Server library. However, in 7.5, the "Show SAS LASR Analytic Server libraries only" option is available, and you can browse to other types of libraries. If you do so, then you see an error after clicking Import.
